YOUTH MINISTRY GOES HIGH TECH!

and download information about upcoming events. Also, any young people interested iin learning more
about creating homepages and navigating the Internet should call or email Amy at her office number found in the bulletin or
amcclain@archbalto.org. We will be arranging a training session focusing on the Internet and on how to maintain and improve the youth
homepage. Amy has a new address! You can reach her on the net at amcclain@archbalt.org. Drop her a line with any questions, comments,
or input about upcoming events. Also, if you would like to register for the Oriole game, Hershey Park or
any other event send her a message.
PARISH PICNIC HELP NEEDED ON JUNE 8, 1997
Parish young people in middle school and high school are needed to help at the annual Parish Picnic. If you are interested and are available on June 8, call Amy McClain.
HERSHEY PARK TRIP - JUNE 30, 1997
Youth Ministry is heading to Hershey Park on Monday, June 30th. All incoming 6th through 12th graders and recently graduated seniors are invited. Admission is $30 and includes roundtrip
transportation by bus. The deadline to register is June 15th and spaces are limited so sign up today. To
register, submit a permission slip and money to Youth Ministry, 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, Maryland 21042.
Permission slips are located in the foyer of the church.
ORIOLES GAME - TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 1997
Head out to the ballpark on June 17th to see the Orioles take on the Montreal Expos.
Tickets are available for $8.
To reserve your tickets, call Amy by June 10th. Checks
should be made payable to: Church of the Resurrection.
HIGH SCHOOL - SUNDAY NIGHT PRAYER GROUP
Sunday Night Prayer Group will NOT meet this Sunday - May 25, 1997. Hope you enjoy Memorial Day.
SENIOR RECOGNITION MASS AND CRAB FEAST
The Senior Recognition Mass is scheduled for Sunday, June 15, 1997 at the noon Mass. All graduating
seniors are invited to attend. We will recognize all who have contributed to Resuurection over the years.
The annual Crab Feast and Pool Party will be held the evening before, Saturday, June 14th at 6 p.m. at the Mazzone's home (see address in
the bulletin). Please note that these events involve a change of date. If you have any questions or are interested in helping
prepare for either the Mass or the party, call Amy.
WHITE WATER RAFTING TRIP - AUGUST 6-7, 1997
High School Youth Ministry is sponsoring their annual White Water Rafting Trip from August 6 through 7, 1997. We will travel to Ohiopyle
State Park, raft on the Youghigheny River and camp overnight at the park. the fee is $70 and includes
rafting, campsite fees, food, and transportation. The deadline to refister is July 9; a $35 non-refundable
deposit is due on that date. If you have any questions, would like to refister, or want to volunteer as a
chaperon, call Amy.
SANDTOWN HORIZONS
Make a difference for someone and help rebuild 1440 Presstman Street. That's the house
Resurrection Youth Ministry is sponsoring with other Catholic youth form Baltimore and Sandtown
Habitat for Humanity. The project involves Resurrection Youth Ministry raising a donation of $500
or more to help pay for the homes rehabilitation and sending a work crew of 12 young people and 2
adults for a day of work on the house. If you would like to be a part of this effort or have any
questions, call Amy.
ST.AMBROSE POOL PARTIES-TUESDAYS, JULY 8, 15, 22, 1997
Spend time this summer getting to know your neighbor. On three Tuesdays in July, Youth
Ministry and the Social Justice Committee will sponsor pool parties for children from
the St. Ambrose Outreach Center. Volunteers are needed from 11:15 am - 3 pm to interact
with the children, teaching some how to swim and helping to make sure that everyone has a
good time. To find out more or to volunteer, call Joe Lombardo or

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
Join Young Adult Ministry on a bus trip to New York to see RENT on Sunday, September 14th.
Tickets are $110 and include round-trip coach bus transportation, a continental breakfast,
movies on the bus, and front mezzanine tickets. Participants will have time to tour
New York and eat lunch and dinner on their own. Reservations and/or questions should
be directed to Amy McClain. To reserve a spot
submit a $55 deposit by July 20th.
MIDDLE SCHOOL - SCHOOL'S ALMOST OUT DANCE
Join us for the last dance of the school year on Friday, May 30th from 7:30- 10:00pm
in the church hall. Admission is $5 with proceeds benefiting the youth group's
Habitat for Humanity projects. Anyone interested in volunteering as a chaperon
should contact Amy McClain.
