RESURRECTION YOUTH PAST ANNOUNCEMENTS
MICAH 6:8 - MARCH 7-9, 1997
This weekend retreat looks at Catholic social teaching and living a life of justice and action with and on behalf of the poor. Participants take time during the weekend to develop a social justice activity to be implemented at their parish. The weekend takes place at the O'Dwyer Retreat House from March 7-9, starting at 7pm on Friday and concluding at 3pm on Sunday. It is open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Registration for the weekend is $35 and includes room, board, and materials; please submit a check payable to Resurrection by February 23rd. Please call Amy with any questions.
PILGRIMAGE - MARCH 22, 1997
Make a statement and have a great time, too!!! Participate in the Youth and Young Adult Pilgrimage on March 22nd. The day involves a walk of faith through the streets of Baltimore stopping along the way for reflection, prayer, and song. After mass at the Basilica with Cardinal Keeler, participants break for dinner at a nearby restaurant or at the Inner Harbor. The day concludes with a concert featuring the band, The Scarecrow and Tin Men. We will leave from Resurrection at 11am and return at 9:30pm. LENTEN PENANCE SERVICE - MARCH 23, 1997, 7-9pm
On Sunday, March 23rd from 7-9pm in the chapel, join high school youth ministry for a look at the sacrament of reconciliation. We will explore the positive impacts it can have on our lives, especially during the time of Lent. Come out with your questions and go home with some answers. The evening will also involve an opportunity to receive the sacrament.
HIGH SCHOOL RETREAT - MARCH 14-16, 1997
Mark your calendar for the ever-popular High School Retreat. Scheduled for March 14-16, 1997, the retreat will be held at Blue Ridge Summit and will include Father Jim's guided hike at the Grotto at Mt. St. Mary's. The weekend will cost $70 and includes room, board, and transportation. Don't delay, spaces are limited. The deadline to register for the retreat is March 9th. Call Amy for more information.
LIVING THE CONSISTENT ETHIC OF LIFE LENTEN SERIES -
THURSDAYS, FEBRUARY 20, 27, MARCH 6, 13; 7:30-9:30pm
Make a Lenten commitment to learn more about the consistent ethic of life. Guest speakers Helene Murtha, Tony Tamberino, Mike Vogrin, and Ted Miles will explore with us the meaning of life and ways of respecting and living life fully. Don't miss out!!!
